Privacy Policy

Vibe-Verse Phonics is an educational card game and online learning platform designed for grades 1–3, operated by Vibe Verse Edu. The platform includes a marketing website, a free tutorial game, and a paid full game accessible via activation code or teacher-generated student code.

We collect the following information from adult users only (teachers and parents/guardians). All forms require age confirmation before submission.

• Game account registration (adults only): Name, email address, password (encrypted by Firebase), school name (optional), grade level (optional), activation code
• Free sampler email form (adults only): First name and email address
• Tutorial sign-in (adults only, optional): Name, email address, role. Students can play the tutorial without providing any information.
• Usage data (adult accounts only): Last login date, number of games played

We do not collect any personally identifiable information from children or students. See Section 6 (COPPA Compliance) for details.

We do not collect:

• Student names, email addresses, or any student personal information
• Geolocation data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Cookies for advertising or tracking purposes
• Analytics data from student game sessions
• Photos, audio recordings, or biometric data

• To authenticate adult accounts and provide access to the paid game
• To deliver the free sampler pack via email
• To validate activation codes and prevent abuse
• To enable teachers to generate anonymous student access codes

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, behavioral targeting, or any purpose unrelated to the Vibe-Verse Phonics product.

Adult user data is stored and processed using Google Firebase, which provides:

• Firebase Authentication — secure account management with encrypted passwords
• Cloud Firestore — database storage for adult user profiles, activation codes, and anonymous student access codes

Firebase is a Google Cloud service that complies with SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 27001, and ISO 27017 standards. Data is stored in the United States. For more information, see Firebase Privacy and Security.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties.

The only third-party service that processes your data is Google Firebase (as described above), which acts solely as a data processor on our behalf.

Vibe-Verse Phonics is designed with children's privacy as a core principle. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

• Accounts are for adults only. Only teachers and parents/guardians create accounts. All registration forms require confirmation that the user is 18 years or older.
• No student data is collected. Students access the game through anonymous codes generated by their teacher. No student names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information is collected or stored on our platform.
• Anonymous student access codes. Teachers generate access codes (e.g., STAR-01, STAR-02) from their Teacher Dashboard. Students enter only the code to play — no account creation, no personal information. The teacher maintains their own private record of which student uses which code — this mapping is never stored on our servers.
• Tutorial access without data. Students can play the free tutorial by clicking "I'm a Student — Play Now" without entering any information whatsoever.
• No tracking of children. We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology on student game sessions. Google Analytics has been removed from all pages.
• Phonics reports are local only. In-game phonics reports are generated and displayed in the browser only. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Because we do not collect personal information from children under 13, verifiable parental consent under COPPA is not required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at support@vibeverseedu.com and we will delete it promptly.

No student education records are stored on the Vibe-Verse platform. Phonics reports generated during gameplay are displayed in-browser only and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

If a teacher chooses to print a phonics report and associate it with a student, that printed document becomes part of the teacher's own records and is governed by their school's FERPA policies — not ours.

Anonymous student access codes contain no student personal information. The code-to-student mapping is maintained by the teacher off-platform.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on any page of our website.

The only browser storage used is:

• Firebase Authentication tokens — stored in browser storage for adult account sessions only
• localStorage — used to save adult user preferences (e.g., sound settings, language preference). No personal information is stored in localStorage.

Adult accounts: Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Student access codes: Anonymous student codes contain no personal information and are retained only while the teacher's account is active. When a teacher's account is deleted, all associated student codes are also deleted.

Tutorial data: Adult tutorial sign-in data (name, email) is retained for email communication purposes. You may request deletion at any time.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted password storage via Firebase Authentication
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Firestore security rules restricting data access to authenticated users
• AES encryption of game content to prevent unauthorized access
• Age confirmation gates on all data collection forms

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Request to know what personal information we have collected about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
